Know the apps next to yours

Every Google Play app competes with a few dozen others: the leaders of its category and the rest of its rivals’ portfolios. APK Synergy puts that set together for any of 4.1M apps, with installs, ratings and release dates side by side, so a competitor review takes minutes instead of an afternoon of clicking.

What a competitor set holds

A useful competitor set is more than a search result. APK Synergy builds it from three angles, all from public Google Play data refreshed every night.

Building a set with the API

  1. Get a key. Sign up on apksynergy.com with an email, no card; the key is in the cabinet with free monthly tokens.
  2. Read your own record. /app?id=your.package gives your category and developer id.
  3. Pull the neighbours. /search?category=…&sort=installs for the category leaders, /developer?id=… for each rival’s portfolio.
  4. Compare. Line the records up by installs, rating and update date, and repeat monthly to see who moves.

Who builds competitor sets

An independent Google Play data service

APK Synergy on apksynergy.com is part of the APK API network: it reads the public Google Play listing for 4.1M apps and refreshes it every night. It is an independent service, not affiliated with Google, and it serves metadata only: apksynergy.com does not host, distribute or link to APK files. The brand main site is apkapi.com, where the same API, documentation and account live.

Competitor analysis: questions

What is APK Synergy?

APK Synergy (apksynergy.com) builds competitor sets for Google Play apps on top of the APK API: the category leaders around an app, the full portfolios of rival publishers and keyword neighbours, with installs and ratings side by side, across 4.1M apps.

Is apksynergy.com an official APK API site?

Yes. apksynergy.com is part of the APK API network, and the brand main site is apkapi.com. A key created on apksynergy.com uses the same APK API, so it works across the network for keys, billing and documentation.

How does APK Synergy decide which apps are competitors?

It does not guess. It gives you three plain lists: the leaders of the same category, the other apps of the same and rival publishers, and apps that match your keywords. You choose which of them belong in your set.

Can I compare my app with a rival publisher?

Yes. Open the rival publisher page, or call /developer with its id, to get all of its apps with installs, ratings and release dates, then compare them with your own record.

How often do the numbers change?

The index is refreshed every night. Install bands, ratings and update dates are at most a day old, so a monthly comparison shows real movement.

Is APK Synergy free?

Yes, to start. An account on apksynergy.com includes free monthly tokens with no card. A competitor set of a few lists costs a handful of tokens; token packs raise the limits for agencies.

Can I download APK files from apksynergy.com?

No. APK Synergy is a Google Play metadata service: installs, ratings, publishers and categories. It does not host, distribute or link to APK files; the answers are JSON, not binaries.
